　　内容和规模：PA6 (Polyamide 6), also known as Nylon 6, is a type of polyamide resin. As the thermoplastic resin, PA6 is made through spinning and molding after caprolactam melted utilizing polycondensation. It is white, cylindrical particles, soluble in phenol and hot concentrated sulfuric acid, characterized in good resiliency, excellent electrical insulation property, extremely high abrasive resistance, good alkali resistance and corrosion resistance, poor light resistance. At present, PA6 engineering plastics are widely applied in such fields as the automobile industry, mechanical industry, electronic and electrical industry, daily-use products and chemical and building materials industry.

　　In 2015, China’s consumption of PA6 plastics was approximately 550,000t, but around 80% was imported from overseas. In 2020, China’s demand for PA6 is predicted to reach around 700,000t. As a result, it is very necessary to expand the production of PA6 engineering plastics.

　　Caprolactam production facilities of the biggest scale and highest technological level in China have been built in the New Materials Industrial Park of Lianjiang Kemen Economic Development Zone, with a total scale of 1,000,000t/a, among which Phase I of 400,000t/a will be put into production, capable of providing high-quality caprolactam for the production of PA6 plastics.
